Book reviews: ‘THE LOST SHIP’

Two of our students, Eisa and Mohammed, wrote these reviews of a popular student reader, ‘The Lost Ship’ in their class. Here are their opinions.

EISA’S REVIEW

The title of this book is The Lost Ship. The author of this book is Stephen Colbourn. It was published in 2005 by Macmillan Publishers. The story is fiction and it is a mystery.

The story is set in 1872 in December on a sailing ship. The main character is the captain of the ship. When the captain is going home he felt happy but on the way he saw a strange ship.

My opinion of this book is that I like it because it is interesting and it gives advice. My favourite part is when the captain goes to see the strange ship.

MOHAMMED’S REVIEW

This story is about the captain of the ship when he is going home he felt happy but on the way he saw a strange ship and then he found a table with food and water.

My opinion about this story is it’s very interesting. My favourite part was when he looked in the mirror and he saw himself.

I recommend this story for my teacher and my friends because it’s a very good story about sea and ships.

MAnd here’s the comments from their teacher, Ellie!
