It&#8217;s a wonderful place for walkers, cyclists and nature enthusiasts, with beautiful wetland walks and a great &#8216;hide&#8217;, a special lookout hut for birdwatchers. It begins at the famous Viking boat, a replica of a re-constructed Viking Longship. The replica sailed from Denmark to Thanet in 1949, to commemorate the 1,500th anniversary of the original Viking landing here in A.D. 449.  <a
