Our Isle of Thanet is famous for its ‘big skies’, and that’s partly why it has been popular with artists for centuries – the most famous being J.M.W. Turner<\/a>, who spent much of his time in Margate and created several of his paintings and sketches in the area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
