This week our home town of Broadstairs has been full of the sound of music – it’s the annual Folk Week! This has become a huge event over the past 55 years, and the town welcomes visitors from near and far, with many staying in the local area for the whole duration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week has been particularly wonderful because of the fine weather, and that’s great because so many events take place outdoors – the streets and parks are full of musicians and dancers, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The focus is always on the music, though, and throughout the day and evening the local pubs, cafes and hotels host a huge variety of bands and singers, so you can listen to great music for the price of a drink. In addition, there are various larger ‘ticketed’ events for serious folk fans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a fabulous week!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
