Objectives

Morning classes are designed to develop your overall level of English, while the work experience in the afternoons and/or evenings provide a sample of different aspects of the local hospitality and catering services.

In a class suited to your language level, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation are presented in meaningful and enjoyable ways, and there is also work on all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

The work experience element is designed to cover a variety of tasks in a number of different establishments and to challenge you to adapt your abilities and your English skills to the work required.

Due to the Covid-19 situation, there may be times when other students join the class online (hybrid learning). To enable the class to interact with one another, everyone will be asked to connect online. You will receive access details in advance. All students need to bring either a laptop or a tablet to take part in our courses.

Monitoring Your Progress

We evaluate your level of English at the start of your course to understand your individual needs. We monitor your language progress and your work experience throughout the course, and liaise with your supervisors regarding your placement. At the end of your stay you will receive a personal report and certificate confirming your final level of English and the progress you have made, and including a description and assessment of your work experience.

Outcomes

You will improve both your fluency and accuracy in English, and practise it in a real-life working environment relevant to your own course of training.
