Thanet is famous for its ‘big skies’ and in particular we have wonderful sunsets here, which have attracted artists to the local area for centuries. Here are just a few examples, taken by talented local photographer Richard Goldfinch. Why not come and see them for yourself?
We asked local residents to send us their favourite photos of the local area. We were inundated with pictures! Clearly Thanet residents are extremely proud of where they live, and rightly so. This wonderful photograph was taken by one of our students, George (Jiajin Hou), from China, on a recent excursion to Whitstable. It’s a lovely coastal town famous for its seafood, especially oysters, and its artist studios, and it’s only about 30 minutes away by train or car. Look at that beautiful sky! Thanks, George.
Last night we were entertained by the wonderful dancing of students from the Duncan Centre Conservatory, Prague, who are studying English here again for the 3rd year! Here is a video of their performance, devised by the students themselves in just one day.

The students really enjoyed their visits and were very inspired by what they learned. A huge thank you to Think Big Tech, Dover District Chamber of […]
