Covid-19

We will follow UK Government guidance with regard to safety measures in the classroom. The maximum student number in class will be reduced to 8, we will implement safe-distancing, staggered break times, regular thorough cleaning, hand sanitiser will be provided, classrooms will be well ventilated.

Our homestay hosts will provide a safe, comfortable and friendly place to stay.  If you, or a member of your homestay family, becomes ill, you will self-isolate together.

Our priority is to do our best to keep our students safe. As a result there may be times when we may not be able to offer our traditional social programme.

Please see our Covid-19 Guidelines, and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Coming to the UK: What do you have to do?

Some of our students have to self-isolate, take COVID-19 tests and complete forms. Below is a video of one of our students explaining what it was like for him. Always refer to the UK government website to find out what you need to do, and please contact us if you are unsure of anything.

Please always check your own country's travel regulations about entering and departing England.

Hilderstone College - Online

Online IELTS Preparation

This course will allow you to prepare for your IELTS exam from the comfort of your home.

At Hilderstone College we believe that good exam preparation should focus both on exam skills and language development. This course will give you just that: a chance to prepare for the different parts of the exam, and a chance to improve your overall level of English.

This course is aimed at intermediate-level students, and you will have lessons every day from Monday to Friday. Your teacher will set some work for you overnight.

Exam S.O.S. (optional 30-minute tutorials)

If you feel you need some extra help with your exam, you can book a 30-minute tutorial to discuss your progress. However you could also use the session to go through your essays, analyse your mistakes or just to boost your confidence in speaking.

There may be times when you join our face-to-face classes online (hybrid learning).

Objectives

Working online, this course will help you develop your grammar, vocabulary and exam skills in order to give you the best possible preparation for the IELTS exam.

Outcomes

By the end of the course, the student will not only have an improved understanding of English grammar and vocabulary, they will be better prepared for the IELTS exam with a sharper understanding of what each section of the exam requires.

How does it work?

We use Zoom for our lessons. Click here for a demo.
